The enemy had a plot but God has a plan

Watched a great clip of Lisa Bevere last night (I keep watching her she has some powerful messages) and this one was very much about the attacks on us being more about who we can be or who we are going to be in the future, almost a follow on from my blog yesterday about claiming God’s plans for our lives.  God has amazing plans and you know what, that scares the enemy and he will do anything to stop us, but we have God, we live in the light AMEN  It got me thinking about my past and all the lies the enemy used to keep me down and away from God, but God’s plans prevailed and here I am ready to claim my glorious future.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-8 – (Message) – But friends, you’re not in the dark, so how could you be taken off guard by any of this? You’re sons of Light, daughters of Day. We live under wide open skies and know where we stand. So let’s not sleepwalk through life like those others. Let’s keep our eyes open and be smart. People sleep at night and get drunk at night. But not us! Since we’re creatures of Day, let’s act like it. Walk out into the daylight sober, dressed up in faith, love, and the hope of salvation.

Nehemiah 4:14 – Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families

1 Peter 5:8 –  Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Ephesians 6:12 –  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms

TARGET

OK devil so I’ve got a target on my back, Christian, anointed one, child of a King, and you know what I think, no weapon formed against me will prosper, every accusing tongue will be refuted so you may have been masquerading as an angel of light, your servants disguising themselves as servants of righteousness but I live in the light, clearheaded, protected and confident in my salvation and I know I’m a target because I am made in God’s image, I belong to Jesus and the plans he has for me are clear to see, you picked on me, not a target because I am weak but because I am strong, you recognised the potential in me, tried to frighten me, tried to keep me from God’s work through your potent trickery, lying to me to keep me down, telling me God cannot love me, you had a plot but God has a plan, he is my light and salvation so whom shall I fear, God gives me wisdom and discernment to recognise the deceit and the battle is not over, it’s only just begun, and I am battle tested, sword at the ready, claiming spiritual victory for I am prepared with Spiritual armour, no longer your prey for I pray to my Father in heaven for his protection, his love surrounds me, his death redeemed me, his resurrection empowered me, so OK I may have a target on my back but step back, step away, you’ve had your day and now I claim the victory, Jesus died for me, he set me free and you no longer hold any power over me, I am God’s and I am free.
