The glory of Jesus changes me

What’s it all about, quite simply, focus on the glory of Jesus.

Daniel 7:13-14 – In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

I need to remember that Jesus has all authority, glory, sovereignty and power, over all nations and people of every language.  His authority is eternal, it will never pass away, his Kingdom will never be destroyed.  We know that one day, at his name, every knee shall bow, every tongue confess him Lord.

So why do we fail to embrace all that power now?  God tells us that we could do all things through him who strengthens us.  God tells us that we are more than conquerors through him who loves us.

All of us who are saved have seen the brilliant light of Jesus.  Why are we keeping it dimmed, why are we doubting it’s power, why are we failing to focus on his glory?  Through focusing on his glory, we too can start to tap into his power, his Spirit and his gifts and make a significant difference to our families, friends and communities through showing them God’s immense love, right here, right now In whatever situation they find themselves in.

The glory of Jesus changes me, all hail King Jesus, all hail Emmanuel, sing to the Lord, bless his name, proclaim his salvation, let every nation be filled with his glory, word became flesh, dwelt among us and the earth was filled with the knowledge of his glory as surely as the waters covered the sea, let everything within me praise his Majesty as I wait patiently for the day he comes in clouds of glory, an image of grace when at last I will see him face to face, pout out your Spirit Lord, pour out your Spirit, let me be a conduit for your love, transform me, change me, help me see you in totality, help me comprehend the real extent of your glory.
