1 Corinthians 3:5-9 – as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labour. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
How important to remember that we are just a small cog in a big wheel. It doesn’t matter which role we play, once God gives us our role it is just important that we complete it to the best of our ability. Ultimately it is God who makes things happen, we are just his fellow workers, supporting his work through our obedience.
A small cog in a big wheel, but still a person of interest with a plan and a purpose, whether I plant or whether I sow, whatever I do, wherever I go, I know that if I follow God’s word, do his work with love and passion, be a person of action, go where I am sent, enlarge the place of my tent, be obedient, that I am his fellow worker and I will be rewarded for my labour, but it’s not all about me it’s about God’s people working together to help others enter his amazing Kingdom, to show them God’s freedom, to lead them to the next stage so that God can engage with them in that place, show them his face , lavish them with his grace.
