You are magnificent

God knew me before I was born.  God knew my name, he chose me and summoned me by name.  I will never grow tired of mulling that truth over.  I will never tire of rejoicing over that one truth, God chose me.  How blessed I am, how truly blessed..

• Isaiah 43:1 …I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
• Isaiah 49:1 – …Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name
• Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations
• Psalm 139:13.. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

CHOSEN

I am one of God’s holy people, and if you replace holy with chosen you’ll find that it makes your heart thump a little bit louder, it makes you want to jump up and down, chosen by God, esteemed, valued, set apart, pursued by a God of love who could not leave you to your own devices and my advice is that even if you have been overlooked by some, take heart for you were handpicked by one much higher, set apart to walk in his Grace, your face may not fit here but God called you to do great things, choose to say yes to his way and his plans, you are his treasure, summoned by name you are his, before you were born you were called, he saw you as you were formed he knows your frame your flesh your bones, he’s never not known you or your ways, created to an amazing specification you are God’s own special creation, what a privilege to be selected, elected to join his family with an identity set apart to know God’s heart, don’t allow yourself to feel insignificant, you are magnificent, God made you and will sustain you, commissioned for his purpose you are his glorious creation, part of the nation of heaven, protected and loved for ever and ever.
