Stay salty and shine bright

I was talking to my counsellor last night and it became apparent that sometimes God uses us to shine light into other people’s dark corners.  It’s not our job to make sense of that, or to try and help that person sweep out the corner, God can just use us to highlight the issue.  We are called to be obedient and sometimes that can be hard, or result in us not knowing the purpose of the action we have taken.  That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do what God asks us to do, we must trust that his plans are perfect and his ask of us is simply to trust and obey.

And we ourselves should not fear the light, I love Psalm 139, search me oh God and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts.  If we are open to God shining light into us we can pray this with no fear.  Just maybe God will use someone else to do that in your life.  Be open and be receptive to the different ways God uses to perfect us.

Luke 11:36 – Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

John 3:21 – But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

STAY SALTY

Be the light that helps others see, light conveys shape and colour, light is energy moving at speed, light is energy that can be seen, light is powerful, illuminating all that is dull, light is a source of joy, a guiding influence, light makes the invisible visible, light ignites, sets ablaze, light is the difference between night and day, light gleams, light dazzles, light is a channel for us to use, light is what we can reproduce as we listen to God and obey his voice, we can light up the world, bring joy to those joyless corners, bring peace to those troubled seas, bring love to the broken hearted, bring hope to the hopeless, shining light into the darkest places we can bring life, think on that, stay salty and shine bright
