I can’t explain it you have to experience it

Went to a different church today to hear some students from Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry speak.  The main talk was about revival and how that starts from the Holy Spirit within us.  It doesn’t have to be all singing and all dancing revival as we read about, it can just be one word, one touch of someone else’s heart.  We are called to love and revival will start I am sure when we can truly start to show God’s love to all that we meet.

Before I went I had been writing about God’s love and how I can’t explain it, you have to experience it for yourself.  And now I’m thinking WOW, that just starts with me.  If I can show someone else a touch of God’s heart then I could be starting a revival… now that’s powerful.

I CAN’T EXPLAIN IT

God is Love, I can’t explain it you have to experience it, talk to him, he wants to tell you how much he loves you, it’s not dependent on your love for him, you don’t actually have to believe in him for him to love you, he is stronger than all your fears, he is not put off by your tears or sadness, when you’re angry he doesn’t hide away, when you’re having a bad day he stays with you, his love is so extravagant, inexplicable, he loved you before you were you, his love is all consuming, waves of passion from his very heart are pouring over you, this isn’t a frail, human love, no interdependency, no need to say I love you too, he never fails you, never lets you down, never shouts or swears or knocks you around, his love is strong enough to break the chains that hold you down, it’s a selfless love, sacrificial, unconditional, a perfect love that casts out all fear, surrender to the voice that tells you it’s all going to be OK, listen to the voice that tells you he loves you in every way and maybe one day you too will be able to say, hey God I love you too
