Princess, don’t let that crown slip

God sees our every weakness, nothing can be hidden from him and there is nothing he doesn’t understand.  Be confident as you approach God today, he already knows what you need and he is a gracious and merciful God, waiting to provide, wanting to bless us. Don’t allow negativity a foothold in your mind.

Hebrews 4: 14-16 – Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathise with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.  Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Approach God’s throne with confidence, own the room, keep your chin up, don’t let that crown slip Princess, talk to yourself like God talks to you, as one who is loved, cherished, do not be tempted into negative self-doubt, what’s that all about?  Our high priest is Jesus, think about that, Jesus Son of God, ascended into heaven, seated at God’s right hand; that demands some confidence, our intercessor recognises weaknesses, he empathises with our fragility, he sees our Achilles heel, it’s real to him, he’s walked the earth, tempted as we are, yet free of sin, and that’s the thing, because of his perfection, his failure to yield to temptation he was the perfect sacrifice, his life for ours, his life given in mercy and grace, doesn’t that underline for you that you have a place in his heart that cannot be taken away, today as you approach your Lord and Saviour, head up, walk tall, he gave it all to see you thrive, be strong, be free, be alive.
