Alone we may feel small or weak, unable to make a difference in God’s mighty Kingdom but that is not true. When we join our spiritual lives together we are a mighty force that God can use to defeat impossible odds. But this all has to be to God’s glory, we should not seek to receive recognition or praise, we should ensure that all that we do is done because we want to do it to bring all the glory to God. God doesn’t need us to be strong, he just wants us to have faith in him and he will deliver time and time again.
- Ephesians 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.
- Judges 7:2 – The Lord spoke to Gideon. He said, “I want to hand Midian over to you. But you have too many men for me to do that. I do not want Israel to brag that their own strength has saved them
I did it, but then did I, was it me that did it or was it that cry to Jesus that kick started the whole process, the prayer request that I thought went unnoticed and then it happened, just as God had planned it, and let me expand on that, God hears our prayers and makes a way, we are saved by his grace combined with our faith, but be guarded, do not seek to take the glory, do not boast of your success, it is by God’s grace that you’ve achieved, because of the strength that you’ve received from God, his gift freely given, let your ambitions be handed over to God, seek to serve him only, seek to boast of his power and strength, speak at length of his outrageous grace that is the foundation of your faith, desire to serve him with all your heart, it’s not about the winning, it’s about taking part.
