‘I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
We can be comforted by the fact that Jesus knew we would have times of trouble in our lives and should be encouraged by his words. When troubles come I for one can be slow to remember God’s great promises and I ask him now to help me rejoice in his victory even when I may not feel totally at peace with my life and to remind me that I too am an overcomer.
GOD DOES NOT WANT…
Here’s the thing…God does not want you to endure trouble, God does not want you to bubble over with despair, God does not want you to ask him where he is or why he’s not answering when you are battling with your feelings, his death on the cross has true meaning, he came so that we may have peace. He doesn’t want you puzzled or to struggle on alone, no, he wants to own every situation that you are part of, wants to fill the void with his love because he knew that in this world we would have distress, so this is what he promised, “I have overcome the world”, take heart, gain courage, my message is clear I give you peace, be not afraid, I give you love, be not dismayed.
